Some links on Deductsy are affiliate links.
If you sign up for a service through one of these links, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. This commission helps us keep Deductsy free.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks back to us when you click through and sign up with a partner service. If a partner pays us a commission for referring you, the affiliate link is how we get credit. The price you pay is identical to going directly to the partner — we never mark anything up.
Our editorial principles
This is how we keep our recommendations honest:
- Recommendations come first; commission second. If our calculator's analysis indicates that a particular tax move (e.g., S-Corp election) does NOT benefit you, we do not show the affiliate link. Affiliate income is never a reason to recommend something.
- We only partner with services we'd recommend without a commission. We don't promote the highest-paying partner — we promote the partner whose product is genuinely the right fit for the user's situation.
- Multiple options where reasonable. When more than one partner makes sense (e.g., budget vs. premium LLC formation), we show both and explain the trade-off.
- No hidden links. Every affiliate link is in a clearly labeled "recommended" or "next step" section, not embedded in editorial copy.
Current partners
We're in the process of activating affiliate partnerships with the following services. As we go live with each, we'll update this list. Affiliate links will appear contextually inside the relevant calculator (e.g., LLC formation links inside the S-Corp Savings calculator).
- ZenBusiness — LLC formation. Featured when our S-Corp Savings or PTET calculators recommend a structural change.
- Gusto — payroll for S-Corp owners. Featured after our S-Corp Savings calculator recommends electing S-Corp tax treatment (which legally requires payroll for the owner).
- Mercury — business banking. Featured as a follow-up after LLC formation for users who need a business bank account.
We may add or remove partners over time. Pages with active affiliate links will display a one-line "We may earn a commission..." notice next to the recommendation, in addition to this site-wide disclosure.
Compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). It is intended to make our material connection with linked partners clear before you click any affiliate link.
